More than 50% of Whitefish residents have lived here for less than 10 years

I saw this on a website touting the Flathead Valley for economic development and it really struck home. Not because of the bold statistic, but rather because Whitefish is one of the very few places in the country where people will give up a great deal in order to live there.

How many of us have heard the stories from waiters, from grocery clerks, from cell phone store salesmen about what great jobs they left behind in California or Oregon or Chicago to live here.

The show would be titled Contemporary Living. The ideal time slot would be Saturday morning from 10:00 am till 11:00 to start with.
